Team Development

A team is a small number of people with complementary skills who are committed to a common purpose, performance goals, and an approach for which they hold themselves mutually accountable. Team working is moving forward together, turning differences into strengths, improving group communication and problem solving skills; and adapting with the whole organisation to enable it to meet its goals more effectively in a changing world.

Building team success...

Developing a team requires a structured approach and the one adopted here involves the building of awareness of the roles within a team, identifying the types of behaviour or roles that are most likely to lead to team success. When mapped against what is actually happening on the ground, the gap analysis between the ideal team performance and actual performance will highlight areas that require attention at both team and individual level.

Leadership Coaching

Throughout this process it is vital to develop a style of team leadership that is complementary to the development of the team. This needs to be developed through the coaching and skill building of the leadership in parallel to that of the team.

Proven assessment tools and effective questioning are the keys to gaining the information required to make an effective intervention.
